Vedika Pravin Gedam of Kurvey’s New Model High School and Junior College, who became Vidarbha probable second topper in SSC Class 10 examination in visually impaired category here on Wednesday believes that hard work and regular study helped her to score well in the examination. Vedika scored 89.60 per cent. She scored 448 (best of five subjects). She bagged 91 marks in Marathi, 93 in Hindi, 94 in English, 86 in Mathematics, 70 in Science and 84 in Social Science.
 
“Regular study is necessary to score good marks in exams. I never took burden while preparation and always did revision which helped me a lot,” said Vedika. Vedika, who is a disciple of classical music, appeared in five different exams of music. Vedika participated in different musical competitions and also represented her school many times. She is planning to continue this hobby and make career in the same field.
 
Vedika’s father Pravin Ramesh Gedam is a civil contractor and mother Tapti Gedam is a home maker. Vedika shared the credit of her success with parents and teachers and specially, her mother, who always helped in academics. Her parents always encouraged her and never pressurised. School teachers also guided her and always encouraged her to do the best.
