MP should take lead in implementing New Education Policy: CM Chouhan

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that New Education Policy declared by the Centre will prove to be a milestone in education field in country. Madhya Pradesh should take lead in its implementation. All its provisions should be implemented promptly according to the circumstances in the State. He added that provision of imparting vocational education from Class VI in State will be implemented as soon as possible so that students not only develop their academic knowledge but also develop their skills.
 
Yoga will also be included in the school curriculum along with music, dance, philosophy and art. He was holding a meeting through video-conferencing from Chirayu Hospital regarding activities of Education Department in State and actions to be taken in context to Education Policy on Thursday. Minister of State for School Education (Independent Charge) Inder Singh Parmar attended meeting from Shajapur through video-conferencing.
 
Commissioner, Public Instruction, Jaishree Kiyawat, Commissioner, Rajya Shiksha Kendra, Lokesh Kumar Jatav, Deputy Secretary Anubha Shrivastava, Pramod Singh and K K Dwivedi were present in the meeting. He said that Education Minister should set up a team to implement provisions of the new policy in Madhya Pradesh with promptness, to prepare a framework for action in this regard.
