Migrant labourers will get ration till November under One Nation-One Ration Card
 
 
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan at his residence on Sunday and held a discussion with him on problems related to wheat procurement, bonus and ration of migrant labourers. Chouhan informed that in the last financial year, 73.70 lakh metric tonnes of wheat was procured by farmers in the state out of which only 67.25 lakh metric tonnes was accepted by the central government in the central pool.
 
Chief Minister Chouhan urged that the remaining 6.45 lakh metric tonnes of wheat should also be included in the central pool soon, so that farmers can be paid for it. On the ration given to the migrant labourers in the state, Chief Minister Chouhan said that about 13 lakh migrant labourers have returned to the State, out of which about one lakh 90 thousand labourers have not been able to get ration due to non-availability of ration cards. Union Food Minister Ram Vilas Paswan assured Chief Minister Chouhan that 6.45 lakh metric tonnes of the remaining wheat procured last year will soon be included in the central pool soon so that farmers can be paid quickly.
