RAIPUR,

Bharatiya Janata Party National Vice- President Dr Raman Singh, while reacting sharply to the recent developments in State and opening of transport barriers by the ruling Congress Government, said that the primary objective behind his erstwhile Government to make Chhattisgarh a barrier free State, was to make goods movement faster in State. Answering to the queries of mediapersons, Dr Singh said that another reason for closing the transport barriers was that complaints regarding rampant corruption from these transport barriers were being received continuously.

Also huge traffic jams take place in every barrier. Due to all these reasons the transport barriers were withdrawn. Dr Singh said that during BJP regime, it was the Congress only which used to vehemently oppose the barrier system, now it has again restarted it. He said that even a child can understand the actual reason behind restarting of barriers.

On the issue of Parliamentary Secretary also, it was the Congress which had carried out huge demonstrations across the State but suddenly now it seems it has taken a liking towards appointment of Parliamentary Secretary and is proceeding accordingly. He asked as to why the Congress is so hell bent in appointing Parliamentary Secretary, decision against which is still pending High Court, let the decision come then it could proceed, why so hurry.

The Congress seems to be in a roll-back spree, he remarked. On the financial condition of the State, the former Chief Minister demanded that a White Paper should be issued by State Government on the present economic condition of the State. On one side the ruling Congress Government states it has received good revenue from GST, it also claims of very good financial management, they also claim that the State Government’s performance is numero uno in the State, on the other hand, when there are talks about recruitment of teachers, police personnel, they give lame excuses.
