Rajnish Das, a Technician Grade-I, was part of Indian Railway cricket team 
 
A technician was found dead under mysterious circumstances at sub-station located in campus of Divisional Railway Manager (DMR), South East Central Railway (SECR), Nagpur Division, office on Sunday night. Identified as Rajnish Das (48), he may have died due to electrocution while on duty at the sub-station. An ace cricket player, Das has been part of Indian Railway team and was working as Technician Grade-I.
 
The incident came to notice around 8.30 pm when the reliever of Das reported on duty at the sub-station at DRM office premises. Though material of Das was in the room he was not at the seat nor in adjoining room. The employee contacted his colleagues, who alerted Inspector of Works (IoW) incharge of maintenance of DRM office building, about the matter.
 
Additional men from other departments reached the sub-station and a search was undertaken to locate Das, who was found sprawled near an electrical panel, said the reports reaching here. The incident was reported to senior officials who were puzzled as to how the technician got electrocuted. Das was in morning shift and today being holiday there was no rush at the premises.
 
The death of the ace cricket player remains a mystery till further investigations are held. Sadar police were informed about the matter. Cops went to the spot and performed panchnama. Later, the body was sent to Mayo Hospital for post-mortem.
