UNION Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is working for economic development of the country. The results of right decision taken by Government during Coronavirus pandemic will be seen soon, said Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Roadways, Shipping and MSME. Gadkari while addressing a video conference organised by Indian Business and Professional Council. He said, “For economic development good governance, right result oriented decisions, transparency and non corrupted administration is given by the Government. Economic development is a continues process and many good decisions are being taken through it.”
 
Gadkari also informed that the definition of MSME has been changed. MSME is now contributing 29 per cent of the GDP, 48 per cent import and creation of 11 crore employment has been done by MSME sector. “Now, we are starting MSME stock exchange, so that funds from the country and abroad will be available. Now, no nation is interested in dealing with China. India will get benefit of it. We are having high technical knowledge, skilled human resources, due to which we are now focusing towards imports. We are also taking efforts to bring investment through private financial institutions.” he said.
 
He said, while constructing national highways, 22 national green highways are also being constructed. Giving example of Mumbai-Delhi, Gadkari said, “We have saved crores of rupees while purchasing land. We have taken the road through jungle and tribal areas, so that their importance will also increase. We are also developing clusters on the sides of the road. The business developed will also be connected to port and railway station.
 
Facilities of residence, water and electricity will also be provided. We are working on the concept of smart village. Development of these places will take place and industries will also flourished in these areas. Even production cost will also come down in these areas,” Gadkari said. He said, the world is fighting against coronavirus. “Financial crisis are also being faced. But we have to come out with solution. We have to come out from negative thinking. We have to keep positive thinking and confidence to work for economic growth,” Gadkari said.
