Urges Cabinet colleagues to tread the same path
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has decided that he will deposit 30 per cent of his salary and allowances into CM Relief Fund. The donated salary and allowances will be used in corona relief work. He will deposit 30 per cent salary and allowances from the date of assuming the charge of CM till September 30. So far, he has deposited an amount of Rs 1.40 lakh in first three months (of his current tenure). He also appealed his Cabinet colleagues to follow the same.
 
“We now have to defeat corona completely with the active support of public. For this, a campaign ‘Sankalp ki Chain Jodo, Sankraman ki Chain Todo’ will be launched from August 1,” he told. He said that every effort is being made to prevent corona infection in the State and arrangements for free and best treatment have been made for the corona patients. With this, considerable control over corona has been achieved. He hoped that shortly state will be able to defeat corona completely. Hinting towards austerity measures needed for Government in the wake of coronavirus pandemic which left economy in shatters, he said that a whopping sum of budget has been spent in battle against COVID-19. He was doing video-conferencing with ministers on Friday.
