CRIME Branch on Friday trapped Neelima Neeraj Jaiswal, the third wife of hardcore extortionist Sahil alias Sameer Khurshid Sayyad, wanted for her involvement with her husband and others, in a property grabbing case registered at Pachpaoli Police Station. According to Police, Ravishankar Purshottam Sahare (57) had purchased Quarter No No 4/1, MIG, Housing Board Colony, Vaishali Nagar, from Vasudha Vasudeo Rupde in November 2019. After Vasudha Rupde passed away, Sahil alias Sameer Khurshid Sayyad (42), a resident of Bagdadiya Nagar, Neelima Neeraj Jaiswal (Tiwari) and Girish Padmakar Giridhar, a resident of Plot No 82, Sahakar Nagar, Khamla Road, connived and grabbed the quarter.

They allegedly forged the signature of the deceased, Vasudha Rupde and illegally took possession of the house on the basis of bogus documents. Following Sahare’s complaint, police had registered an offence under Sections 420, 448,467,468,471 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code Sahil Sayyed, Neelima and Girish. Sahil Sayyed, who is involved in several crimes of serious nature, was already arrested by the Crime Branch. Accused Neelima was absconding. Acting on a tip off, PSI Mayur Chaurasia and his team laid a trap at Sawangi (Meghe) in Wardha district and nabbed Neelima. Possibility involvement of Neelima, Sahil and their accomplices in other similar cases cannot be ruled out.
