Ongoing three-day 27th Zonal Workshop under the Agriculture Technology Application Research, Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) being organised at Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University (JNAU), continued on Friday. Workshop began with presentation about issues related to farmers in Jabalpur District by Jabalpur Krishi Vigyan Kendra Head, Senior Agriculture Scientist Dr Rashmi Shukla.
 
Dr Shukla highlighted four major issues through presentations on demonstration fields. She also informed about ongoing research and tests on the issues being faced by farmers of Jabalpur district. Mainly in this leaf roarer pest control in farms of paddy, prevention of buffalo calves from dehydration by feeding syrup of Bel, integrated pest control in vegetable crop of lady-finger. Application of traditional knowledge for effective pest control in Lady Finger.
The tenth technical session was held under the presidentship of Dr B P Chahal, Assistant Director General (Extension) ICAR, New Delhi. In the programme, ICAR Zone 9, Head, Dr Anupam Mishra, Vice-Chancellor of JNAU, Dr Pradeep Kumar Bisen, ATARI Principal Scientist, Dr SRK Singh along with scientists working in all KVKs in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh are participating in online workshop. In holding the event, KVK scientists extended a valuable contribution.
