In the wake of sudden spike of COVID-19 cases, different areas of the city are being inspected every day by Collector Avinash Lavania and DIG Irshad Wali to ensure that guidelines are being followed here. Both these officials visited the sensitive containment zones in Peer Gate, Jumerati and in Talaiya area on Saturday. During the inspection they advised the citizens to celebrate festivals while staying at their homes. The Collector instructed the concerned Sub-Divisional Magistrate that coronavirus is spreading its tentacles in different areas of the city rapidly.

This resulted in spike of cases, to control this, all the officials should tighten the security and make all necessary arrangements in susceptible areas. Lavania directed the BMC and to health department officials to ensure regular supply of essentials at the containment areas.

The scope of testing should be expanded and sampling and screening in containment zones should be done every day, and those with symptoms should be immediately sent to COVID Care Centre. DIG Irshad Wali directed the cops to take out flag march in the congested streets of Old Bhopal and take actions against those roaming unnecessarily.
