Gandhe to officiate in IPL in UAE

NAGPUR’S international umpire Ulhas Gandhe has been appointed as an official for the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) which is scheduled to be held in United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 19 to November 10. The 13th edition of IPL has been shifted out of India due to coronavirus pandemic. During the 60-match IPL, Gandhe, who works as Senior Accountant with Accountant General (A&E)II Maharashtra Nagpur, will perform his duties as an umpire (Match official). Last year, Gandhe officiated in seven IPL matches. He has an experience of officiating in over 75 First-Class games.
 
Gandhe also went to United Kingdom to officiate in County cricket last year in exchange programme between BCCI and England and Wales Cricket Board. A former Ranji Trophy player of Vidarbha, Gandhe has also officiated India A vs South Africa A matches apart from women’s international matches. He also officiated in Duleep Trophy, Challenger Trophy, Deodhar Trophy and was also the 4th umpire in Test and One-Day International matches few years back. Gandhe thanked BCCI and Vidarbha Cricket Association for his appointment.
