‘Coronavirus spreading faster, highest spike expected in Aug’

“There will be spike in Covid-19 cases in the month of August and it cannot be ascertained when coronavirus will attain its peak in Madhya Pradesh,” said Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Mohammad Suleman on Sunday.
 
The Additional Chief Secretary was addressing a press conference on situation of coronavirus in the State. Suleman said that positive cases in Bhopal has increased significantly in the past one month owing to more testing. Sharing the experience of the State Health Department in past four months, he said that the virus is around and is gaining strength and continues to spread in new areas. The virus also has the capacity to strike on specific groups, especially those with comorbidities, Suleman added.
 
The ACS added that coronavirus is also showing newer clinical manifestations which means that it has also started to thicken blood of those getting infected. Suleman also shed some light on risks associated with unlock and said that not only the Government but the citizens too have to cooperate to win this war against the deadly virus.
