DRM inspecting the installation of technique.

Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Uday Borwanker and other officials paid a surprise visit and reviewed construction work at Obedullaganj Station on Sunday. They reviewed construction of railway third line and non-interlocking by RVNL. He checked web switch being placed in track and also discussed the technique with officials. This technique helps to increase speed of trains by 130 kmph. Thick Web Switch is a progressive turnout and it does not need maintenance.
Life of this technique is 2.5 fold more than the current web switch. Bhopal Railway is working stepwise to increase speed of trains on several tracks with modern techniques. Under this plan, railway is placing thick web switch that helps to run the train at the speed of 160 kmph. Installment of thick web switch has been completed on Bina-Bhopal rack.
On Bhopal-Itarsi track, out of 71 thick web switch, 7 have been installed. After completing the installment of remaining switch, speed of trains from Bina to Itarsi via Bhopal will be increased by 130 kmph. During his visit, DRM Borwanker suggested the labourers and employees to follow safety measures on construction site. He also urged to follow social distancing and wash hands regularly.
