Total 4,084 persons were punished with penalty of Rs 4.87 lakh for not maintaining social distancing and not using face masks while ten persons were booked in nine cases for violating lockdown norms in two days of the complete lockdown in the district. Putting-up vigilant check on violation of COVID-19 protocol police have issued challans amounting to Rs. 72.85 lakhs to 70,973 persons for not maintaining social distancing while total 3,126 persons were booked in 2,210 cases in the district till 2 pm on Sunday.
 
Under the direction of District Magistrate, Bharat Yadav and Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna (IPS) police have started special campaign against violation of lockdown norms. Under the direction of District Magistrate roaming in the city without any authentic reason is completely prohibited during the lockdown period while riding of more than three persons in four-wheeler and more than single rider on two-wheeler is also prohibited.
 
Besides this, residents have been instructed for ensuring use of face mask at public places. IN case of violating the orders, there is a provision of financial penalty of Rs. 100 for first time and Rs. 250 for second time against the violators.
