Amravati, Shivaji Education Society donated of Rs 67 lakh for Chief Minister’s Relief Fund-COVID-19. Shailesh Nawal, Collector, received the fund at the hands of Harshwardhan Deshmukh, President of Shivaji Education Society, and Dilip Ingole, Treasurer. This is second cheque society has donated in CM’s Relief Fund. So far the society has donated Rs 1.18 crore to tackle corona crisis. Coronavirus pandemic has caused havoc all over the world. In India, Maharashtra is the worst affected State.
 
Shivaji Education Society has decided to stand by State Government in this difficult situation. As a part of that second cheque of Rs 67 lakh was donated to CM’s Relief Fund. All the employees of Shivaji Education Society have made huge contribution for this noble cause. The society has appealed to all the office-bearers and lifetime members of the society to doante voluntarily.
 
All the principals, professors, headmasters, teaching and non-teaching employees contributed their two days’ salary for the cause. The society had announced to contribute Rs1 crore but contributed 18 lakh additional amount. Harshwardhan Deshmukh said that all the officers and employees of the society always overwhelmingly respond to such appeals and expressed his gratitude for all. He expressed his gratitude for all the donors from Shiv Parivar and said that it would take initiative in future too for the sake of country.
 
Dilip Ingole said that Dr Panjabrao alais Bhausaheb Deshmukh Memorial Medical College is fully co-operating with the administration in the fight against coronavirus and has made arrangement of 110 beds for COVID patients and 20 ICU testing labs and oxygen centre. Sheshrao Khade, Secretary of Shivaji Education Society, was prominently present on the occasion.
