REPUTED yoga coach of city Anil Mohagaonkar has started coaching in two sessions at two different venues in the city from Wednesday. Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) gave relaxation to some outdoor sports activities in phase-wise opening of lockdown following State government’s guidelines. Yoga is among those sports that has been included in that list. “We followed all the guidelines.

The players wore masks and there was ample social distancing. “All the players are bringing their own sanitisers. We are not taking too many players and are training only those who must be tournament-ready as and when the lockdown is lifted,” said Mohagaonkar, Secretary of Unity Sports Association that runs the classes.

Rajesh Gode and Jaya Banait are assisting Mohagaonkar in imparting training to the about 15 players in two sessions at Bapu Nagar and Prabha Nagar. Mohagaonkar’s regular venue — the Bapu Nagar garden is still closed but the yoga enthusiasts are training at an open terrace there also. “Many of my players have been selected for international tourneys but everything is on hold due to the corona pandemic. My training sessions will continue without a break of — even of a day,” Mohagaonkar signed off.
