Rana couple tests COVID-19 positive

Amravati, Member of Parliament Navneet Rana and her husband MLA Ravi Rana tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday. They are among the 92 new patients detected in the district which now has cumulative tally to 2,764 cases. According to Health Department, of the 92 reports, 29 were received from Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University’s lab, 21 from Dhruv Lab and Suvishwas Lab, Nagpur and 42 through Rapid Antigen test. Rana family’s four other members also tested detected positive on Thursday. Navneet Rana had performed test as she had some symptoms. Ravi Rana has been tested positive at Nagpur.
 
He is at Nagpur as his parents are underging treatment at Wockhart Hospital after testing positive a few days back. Nine relatives of Rana including his parents and his son and daughter had tested positive some days back. Now 15 members of the family are COVID patients. Out of the 92 patients detected in the districttoday 35 belong to rural parts.
 
In Warud 16 persons were found positive in the quarantine centre. Five patients from Malkapur Dhamori, 2 each from Anjangaon Surji, Dhamangaon Railway and from Ner Pinglai in Morshi tehsil and one each from Pathrot in Achalpur tehsil, Warha town in Teosa tehsil, Khirala in Chandur Bazar tehsil, Gurukunj Mozari Ashram, Walgaon, Morshi, Daryapur and from Changapur have been detected positive.
