Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that house warming programme to be held under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana on September 12 should be celebrated with joy and fervour. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aim is ‘every family should have its own house’.
 
In this direction, two lakh houses have been constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. PM Modi will chair the house warming programme. PM will also interact with the beneficiaries of the State. This day is a day of joy and excitement for these families. House of their own will instill a sense of security in the minds of people. Therefore, more and more people should connect with this virtual event.
 
CM was reviewing the preparations for the house warming programme to be held under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in a meeting held at Mantralaya. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat & Rural Development Manoj Shrivastava and other officers were present in the meeting.The beneficiaries will be connected through webcast with this virtual programme. The programme to begin at 11 am will be broadcast through Facebook, Twitter besides regional channels. 
 
37 lakh beneficiaries to get foodgrains from September 16 Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that on the basis of eligibility slip, distribution of foodgrains should be symbolically started from all ration shops in the State on September 16. This campaign should be started by distributing food grains to some people at all 25,000 shops including district headquarters.
 
All precautions for protection against corona infection must be followed during the programme. Co-operation of Gram Panchayats and urban bodies in organising the event should also be ensured. Chouhan gave these instructions in a review meeting held at Mantralaya. It is to be noted that about 11 lakh families of the State will be benefitted with the foodgrains distribution programme. The programme will begin at 11.45 am on September 16 in the entire State. The State-level programme to be held in Bhopal will be broadcast through Facebook, Twitter and all regional channels. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Food and Civil Supplies Faiz Ahmed Qidwai and other officers were present in the meeting.
