Porwal College conducts natl e-conference on yoga

SK PORWAL College, Kamptee organised a one day Interdisciplinary National eConference on ‘Role of Holistic Approaches ofYoga during COVID – 19’ in collaboration with Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI), New Delhi. The e-Conference was jointly organised in association with Dhanwate National College, Nagpur, Yashoda Girls Arts & Commerce College, Nagpur, Saradrao Pawar Arts & Commerce College, Gadchandur and SP College Of Law, Chandrapur. It was conducted virtually on Google Meet, Facebook and YouTube platforms. During the inaugural session, the dignitaries were welcomed by the Organising Secretary Dr Jayant Kumar Ramteke.
 
Dr Dilip Dureha VC, LNIPE, Gwalior was the chief guest. Dr AK Uppal, former Dean, Working P r e s i d e n t , P h y s i c a l E d u c a t i o n Foundation of India (PEFI) New Delhi and Dr S h r i d a r s h a n Desai, ex-Director of Physical Education, Nagpur University were special guests. Dr Piyush Jain, National Secretary, PEFI, New Delhi and Dr Puranchandra Meshram, exRegistrar of RTMNU were the guests of honour. The dignitaries extended their best wishes to all on the occasion of National Sports Day and dwelt on the importance of yoga to combat the corona virus.
 
Noted stalwart, Dr Anil Karwande, ex-Principal IDCPE, donned the role of the Chairman of the Organising Committee. President of the e-Conference, Principal Dr MB Bagade of SK Porwal College, Kamptee stressed on the relevance of this e-Conference in these pandemic times. Dr PM Bambal proposed a vote of thanks in the inaugural session. During the first technical session, acclaimed academicians, Dr Manmath Gharote, Director, The LonavalaYoga Institute, Pune and Dr Kumkum Boratkar, Associate Professor, NSSM, Nagpur delivered lectures on life influenced by yoga. Dr Vandana Ingle gave the chairman’s speech while Dr Indrajit Basu conducted the proceedings. Dr Saroj Dutta proposed a formal vote of thanks. In the second technical session, the resource person was Dr Pratima Vashistha, Asst. Professor, Dept of Yogic Science, LNIPE, Gwalior who spoke on ‘Swasthya and Pranayam’.
 
The chairman of this session was Dr Lalita Punnya. This session was conducted by Dr Jitendra Tagade and a vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Subhash Dadhe. Sahil Sharma, Dr Shrutikona Ghosh, Lam Shruti presented research papers. For the valedictory programme, Principal Dr Anjali Hastak, SP College of Law, Chandrapur was the guest while Dr AH Ansari, Vice-Principal, SKPC presided over. Prof Nitin Meshram, Dr Swapnil Dahat, Dr Manish Chakravarty, Dr Prashant Dhongle, Dr Satender Balwant Singh, Dr Siddharth Meshram, Dr Vinod Shende, Dr Alok Rai, Dr Tushar Chaudhari, Dr Sooraj Kombe, Mahesh Irpate, worked hard for success of the programme. Dr GR Hashmi conducted the proceedings of the eConference and Dr Jayant Kumar Ramteke proposed a formal vote of thanks.
