Devendra Nagar Police on Thursday nabbed a youth and seized 27 kg and 300 grams of cannabis from his possession. The action was a culmination of public relation campaign being run by the Devendra Nagar Police under the guidance of Civil Lines City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Nasar Siddique. According to Devendra Nagar Police, they rounded up one Shivam Kesharwani (19), Aton Kumar Singh (20) and Aakash (21), residents of Kausambi district in Uttar Pradesh, at the bus stand after receiving an intel report.
 
Police found 13 packets stashed in a sketchy looking bag. The estimated price of cannabis was around Rs 1,63,800 lakh. On interrogation, the trio told the police that they had come to purchase cannabis in Chhattisgarh from Prayagraj with one Dinesh, who fled from the scene. Police were in search of the absconding Dinesh. Police have booked the trio under Section 20 (B) (II) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act.
