On Friday, 2,438 fresh cases were detected in the state and for the first time the corona death toll took a leap with, 25 persons losing their lives to the dreaded Coronavirus taking the total death toll in the state to 518.

 

The total positive cases with the detection of new cases on Friday in the state reached 58,643. Similarly, the numbers of Active cases rose to 31,002.

 

While 1,138 patients got discharged from various COVID-19 dedicated hospitals across the state, taking the total discharge till date to 26,421 patients.

 

Of the total 2,438 fresh positive cases identified on the day, highest 715 cases were reported from capital Raipur, followed by 288 in Rajnandgaon, 231 in Durg, 209 in Bilaspur,106 Janjgir-Champa, 76 Baloda Bazaar, 75 Balod, 68 Kabirdham, 60 Bastar, 57 Surguja, 56 Dhamtari, 56 Sukma, 54 Gariaband, 50 Koriya, 41 Mahasamund, 40 Jashpur, 39 Korba, 34 Narainpur, 33 Bijapur, 30 Surajpur, 26 Raigarh and Kondagaon, 19 Dantewada, 16 Kanker, 13 Bemetara, 9 Balrampur, 2 Mungeli and 9 of other state.

 

On Thursday late night 525 patients were detected. 225 in Raipur, 84 in Durg, 30 Bilaspur, 29 Korba, 28 Raigarh, 17 Bemetara, 14 Bastar, 13 Koriya, 12 Kanker, 11 Dantewada, 9 Dhamtari, 8 each in Rajnandgaon, Surguja and Bijapur, 6 each in Balodabazaar and Sukma, 5 each in Kabirdham and Mahasamund, 3 Balod, 2 Surajpur 1 each in Gariaband and other state.

 

Out of 1138 patients who were discharged on Friday from various dedicated COVID-19 hospitals include 133 from Durg, 107 Rajnandgaon, 9 Balod, 22 Bemetara, 3 Kabirdham, 217 Raipur, 15 Dhamtari, 49 Balodabazaar, 4 Mahasamund, 20 Gariaband, 38 Bilaspur, 115 Raigarh, 61 Korba, 127 Janjgir-Champa, 12 Mungeli, 13 Surguja, 9 Koriya, 11 Surajpur, 11 Balrampur, 57 Bastar, 31 Kondagaon, 11 Dantewada, 9 Sukma, 7 Kanker, 12 Narainpur, 16 Bijapur and 8 of other state.
