JEE Main Examination 2020 Chhattisgarh State topper Shreya Agrawal said that Covid-19 lockdown came as a blessing in disguise as she got adequate time for self-study. It is worthwhile to mention, Shreya cracked JEE Main with 99.96 percentile as National Testing Agency announced the examination results. “In my case corona lockdown was blessing in disguise as I had enough time to prepare myself for the JEE Main,” said Shreya while talking to The Hitavada newspaper on Saturday.

Shreya, a student of one of the oldest schools in Raipur Deshbandhu School, said that her brother Kshitij Agrawal, who is an IITian and pursuing his BTech at IIT, Kharagpur, has been her inspiration. Despite being a student of a school affiliated to Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, Shreya cracked the JEE Main examination with 99.96 percentile even as the JEE follows the syllabus laid down by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). “I don’t get demotivated by what people usually say. Anybody can crack the JEE be it CBSE, ICSE or CGBSE. One should be honest and hardworking. A positive mindset for students is more important than the board your school is affiliated,” said Shreya.

When asked about the preparations and examination, Shreya said that she did not attend questions she found doubtful as an error in the answer would fetch negative marks. “I started preparing for JEE in Class XI and joined Limits Education,” said Shreya, daughter of banker Sudhir Agrawal who is posted at SBI Zonal Office in Raipur. Shreya said that she has shifted her focus to JEE Advance. It is worthwhile to mention, Shreya had secured the second position in the CGBSE Class XII Examination 2020 with 97 per cent marks. Earlier, Shreya had secured 95.8 per cent marks in the CGBSE class X examination. She however, failed to make it to the Class X merit list. In her message to JEE aspirants, especially state board students, Shreya said that your honest efforts hold the key in every field.
