426 students of IIT-HOME qualify for JEE Advanced

As per the recently declared results, 426 students from IIT-HOME have qualified JEE Main 2020 and are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2020 to be conducted in October. 278 students have qualified in general category list while 148 students have qualified in reserved category list (109 in OBC, 37 in SC and 2 in ST). Topper from IIT-HOME Kedar Desai has secured AIR 775 with 99.9414888 percentile.
 
He is followed by Mrunmay Angaitkar – AIR 1311 with 99.8918244 percentile and Ramakant Talankar – AIR 1352 with 99.8897396 percentile. Overall 24 students from IIT-HOME have secured NTA 99 percentile and above, 160 above 95 and 295 above 90 percentile. “Over 2 lakh students all over India have not appeared for JEE Main in September after registering for it. In this situation, 426 students from IIT-HOME qualifying JEE Main 2020 is a commendable result, testifying the victory of IIT-HOME students over the fear factor of COVID-19,” said the Managing Director of IIT-HOME Nisha Kothari.
 
Total three students have secured All India Rank (AIR) in top 1500, 22 students stand in top 10,000 AIR. IIT-HOME is an educational institute for training of students preparing for competitive engineering entrance examinations like IIT-JEE for admissions to premier engineering institutions.
