17 deaths; 3,842 +ve cases reported
In yet another relentless spike of Covid-19, Chhattisgarh registered an altogether biggest surge of 3,842 cases. Coronavirus infection case count in Chhattisgarh has jumped to 81,617 total positive cases on Friday. The figure includes 36,580 active cases in State. While 2,614 patients were discharged from hospitals, the total tally of discharged patients reach 35,244. 17 persons lost battle against corona. 667 persons were cured during home isolation and total tally of home isolation is 9,148. With this total number of recovered patients in State reached 44,392. After the spike in the cases Raipur district administration is also deliberating with all concerned stakeholders about enforcing a lockdown in the Capital district. Already the Durg district administration has clamped a complete lockdown there for eleven days starting from 20 September. In Balod also the administration has announced a complete lock down from September 20 till September 30.
 
District Collector Raipur when asked about the possibility of a lockdown in the district said that they will take a decision in consultation with all concerned. The cases are on the rise in Raipur and the administration will have to enforce a strict lock down to contain the cases, is what the general opinion is while allowing some essential shops to open up for a stipulated period not violating the guidelines.
 
According to the Health Department statistics, out of 3,842 fresh cases, maximum cases recorded is 672 in Raipur, 436 Durg, 334 Janjgir-Champa, 309 Rajnandgaon, 302 Bilaspur, 185 Korba, 168 Raigarh, 163 Bastar, 145 Bijapur, 133 Dantewada, 118 Dhamtari, 91 Narainpur, 90 Balod, 65 Kabirdham, 63 each in Sukma and Kanker, 62 each in Baloda Bazaar, Surajpur and Surguja, 56 Bemetara, 51 Mungeli, 47 Kondagaon, 43 Koriya, 38 Gariyaband, 35 Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, 30 Jashpur, 15 Balrampur, 3 Mahasamund and 1 of other State.
 
Out of 17 death co-morbidity death were 7 and 10 were Covid Death. In Raipur division 4 women and 3 men died, In Bilaspur division 3 men and 1 woman died, in Surguja division 2 women died, in Bastar division 2 men, while 1 man from Maharashtra state died during treatment. 1 man from Janjgir Champa died on 16 September whose Corona positive report arrived on Friday. Out of 2,614 discharged cases, 189 discharged in Durg, 73 Rajnandgaon, 21 Balod, 38 Bemetara, 3 Kabirdham, 1277 Raipur, 15 Dhamtari, 164 Balodabazaar, 98 Mahasamund, 3 Gariaband, 77 Bilaspur, 145 Raigarh, 38 Korba, 162 Janjgir-Champa, 8 Mungeli, 25 Surguja, 2 Koriya, 6 Surajpur, 49 Balrampur, 2 Jashpur, 44 Bastar, 47 Kondagaon, 41 Sukma, 46 Kanker and 41 Bijapur.
 
Durg reports 7 deaths, 378 positive cases
On Friday, 7 deaths and 378 infected patients have been confirmed in the report received till the filing of the report, in which, a doctor and a jawan from BSF Sector-6, 10 from Nagar Panchayat Dhamdha area, 5 members of the family from Kumhari and four members of a family from Urla, Durg have been found infected.
 
CMHO Dr Gambhir Singh informed that 7 deaths are confirmed in the district till the filing of the report. District PRO Sourabh Sharma informed that 378 patients have been confirmed in the district till late this evening, in which, 10 infected patients have been confirmed from Nagar Panchayat Dhamdha area, which includes 8 men and two women. One male from Durg, one male from Potia Kala, Durg; one doctor and one young man from Maharana Pratap Chowk, BSF; 2 girls aged 3 and 4 from Jawahar Nagar, Durg; one doctor from Adarsh Nagar, Durg;
 
one aged person from Brahmin Para, Durg, a 85-year-old elderly from Matia Para, Patan; one male from Jawahar Nagar, Durg; one female from Shiskshak Nagar, Durg; one male from Gaya Nagar, Durg; one female from Charoda, Bhilai; one young man from Durg; one male from Hudco, Bhilai; four men and a female infected patients from Mittal Hospital, Durg; one woman, one youth from Bhilai; one young woman, one teenager from Sikola Bhata, Durg; one male from Nehru Nagar, Bhilai; one from Anjora, Durg; one male from Kohka, Bhilai; one male from Pragati Nagar, Risali; along with other patients from various rural and urban areas of the district were found positive. Preparations are being made to shift them to Covid Care Centre and Covid hospitals.
 
Health Deptt fixes rates of CT Scan for COVID patients
Health Department of State has fixed the rates for private hospitals and diagnostic centres for use of CT Scan here on Friday. As per the information, if High Resolution CT Scan (HRCT) Investigation is required during the treatment of any Covid patients, a fee of Rs 1,870 has been fixed for CT Chest without contrast for lung, Rs 2,354 for CT Chest with contrast for lung.
 
It has been informed in the order that all the private hospitals of State should take the fee prescribed by the Government of Chhattisgarh for the treatment of Covid-19 patients, and follow only the treatment protocol set by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and State Government and carry out only necessary investigations. RTPCR, TrueNat, Rapid Antigen Test of Covid -19 patients should be done only in pathology centres and hospitals authorised by ICMR and State Government.
 
Violation of the above order would be punishable under Epidemic Diseases Act 1897, Chhattisgarh Public Act 1949 and Chhattisgarh Epidemic Diseases Covid-19 Regulation Act 2020.
