Plastic donation drive was held at Iqbal maidan. This was organised as part of Swachhta Mohalla Pakhwada of Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC). The launch of plastic donation center was organised in presence of Nagar Nigam Commissioner KVS Chaudhary. COVID-19 SOP compliance was followed by volunteers and people during this drive.
 
This Mega Awareness Drive was organised wherein many students participated. Every person present there took oath of saying no to the use of plastic. An anthem song for the occasion is also released for the same. The menace of plastic is globally acknowledged, and it is high time for us to give it back to the ‘Planet Earth’, Plastic Donation Centre has initiated this much needed awareness campaign to beat the plastic pollution and make people realise it’s adverse effect which will be disastrous for the future generations. Volunteers also appealed all the citizens to participate in whatever form they can to make it a ‘Global Revolution’.
 
 
Cohesive Government policies such as ban on single use of plastic will also benefit this awareness programme. However, if this awareness drive will get momentum, it will be big boost to control plastic pollution.
