Aditi Tembhurnikar and Atharva Tembhurnikar, who are twins, scored similar marks in Class 10 examination. Result of SSC examination was declared in July in which both had scored identical 97% . Not satisfied with the valuation, they opted for re-evaluation. After re-evaluation, their score increased and again read identical, 98.6% each. The re-evaluation process results were declared on Saturday.

The twins scored an impressive 98.6 per cent each after re-evaluation as their revised marks read 493 in SSC examination. Not happy with the valuation, both the students decided to challenge the marks they got in English, Social Science and Science subjects. They were guided by teachers of Somalwar High School, Ramdaspeth for re-evaluation process. After the re-evaluation, both of them got eight more marks added to their earlier score in these three subjects. Aditi got additional 7 marks in English and 1 mark in Social Science. While Atharva’s score in English increased by 5 marks, by 2 in Science and by 1 mark in Social Science after re-evaluation. Before re-evaluation, their score was 97 per cent.

“We should give credit of increase in marks to our school teachers who had faith in our confidence and encouraged us to go for re-evaluation,” said Aditi while talking to The Hitavada. “The teachers were very confident about our performance and were not satisfied with what we score earlier,” added Aditi. Their parents Dr Anand and Dr Amruta Tembhurnikar are Ayurvedic practitioners. Both kids have scored identical marks but nurture different dreams. Aditi aspires to be a neurosurgeon while Atharva wants to pursue Sanskrit and Computer Technology to make a software. Both the students have taken admission in Dr Ambedkar College in Science stream.

“Our parents always supported and encouraged us to do the best but never pressurised us to score good marks. They are our guide and mentors,” said Aditi. Aditi advises her juniors that every individual must follow the syllabus with full dedication. The examination paper is not different from the syllabus. Class tests also help to score good marks in the main examination, she added.
