Sa Re Ga Ma Cultural Group Nagpur conducted a webinar on “Journey of Suverna Mategaonkar and her story of Success” recently. Renowned playback singer Suverna Mategaonkar was the keynote speaker of the webinar. The webinar was held on Zoom platform. Majority of people from cultural field, event organisers around the globe attended the webinar.
 
In the beginning, Dr Sanjay Uttarwar, Director, Sa Re Ga Ma Cultural Group introduced the speaker and welcomed the guests. Webinar starts with the present condition of cultural field. Speaker shared present status of playback singing with gathering. She gave brief idea about societies expectations and cultural scenario as a whole. Mategaonkar is a renowned play back singer from Nagpur now established in Pune and in this field since last twenty five years. She has performed round the globe in various musical concerts. She is a recipient of Sudhir Fadke Award, Ram Kadam Award, Usha Atre Wagh Award and Sarthi Award. She has performed with Manna Dey in Sunahare Pal programme for five years.
 
She has performed with Suresh Wadkar, Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Ravindra Sathe, Arun Date, Shridhar Fadke in various occasions. She received appreciation from Lata Mangeshkar and Aasha Bhosale for her talent in singing. Mategaonkar worked with musician Ashok Patki and Dr Salil Kulkarni in Sawlya Ghana and Mazech Geet Me Mhanate musical albums. She has performed for Sur Tal, Nakshatrache Dene and other Zee TV programmes. She has worked as playback singer for films Hapus, Tu Tithe Me, Nati Goti, Savitri, Shaymchi Aai, Sanga Mi Kashi Diste, Mala Jagayach Aahe and many others.
 
She shared her struggle to achieve today’s position in music world. Dr Uttarwar, in his concluding remarks, talked about the singers and events that taking place in city now a days. Question and answer session was also held in which Mategaonkar gave answers to the questions asked by audience. Yoganand Bopche, Prof Ashish Taywade, Nalini Chauhan, Ravi Satfale, Shantanu Uttarwar, Sanjay Gawai, Ajay Belsare, Vijay Puranik, Dr Pradeep Jadhav, Namrta Tambe, Sanjay Upganlawar, Sonali Nalamwar, Rajesh Nalamwar and many others attended the programme.
