NORTHERN Coalfields Limited (NCL), The Miniratna Company of GOI and subsidiary of Coal India Limited has inaugurated a Hydraulic excavator at its Kakri OCP strengthening its heavy machine muscle. CMD NCL P K Sinha inaugurated the Hydraulic excavator in an e-ceremony organised on Monday due to the COVID-19 pandemic through video conferencing. Director (Personnel), NCL, Bimlendu Kumar, Director (Technical / Operations) Dr. Anindya Sinha, Director (Finance) Ram Narayan Dubey also joined the event.Speaking on the occasion, CMD NCL P K Sinha said that the new machinery has been introduced and this will help us to meet the increasing production targets. Reiterating the contribution of employees amidst COVID crisis, he said that company is expected to once again surpass its fiscal targets.
 
He asks all the employees to take safety measures and remain healthy in difficult COVID-19 times.The newly commissioned hydraulic excavator has a bucket capacity of 11 cubic meters and is equipped with the latest modern technology and safety features.NCL operates with its 10 opencast Coal Mines in Singrauli and Sonbhadra District of MP and UP with a fleet of more than 1200 HEMM.
 
Production in NCL is highly dependent on heavy machines deployed in its coal mines. The introduction of this machine in the Kakri Project's fleet will not only ensure production targets but the enhanced safety and productivity.
