Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced that Mukhya Mantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana will be started in Madhya Pradesh. The objective of this scheme is to give additional financial assistance of Rs 4,000 to the eligible beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. About 80 lakh farmers will be benefitted under the scheme. At present, small farmers who are unable to avail the benefits of other schemes, are given an annual financial assistance of Rs 6,000 under the scheme.

But from now on, the beneficiary farmer will get an annual assistance of Rs. 10,000. For the overall development of farmers, farmer-friendly schemes will be integrated and implemented in the form of a package. Computerisation work in the Co-operative Department will be done extensively. The State Government will provide funds for this arrangement to 4,500 primary co-operative societies. Chouhan was addressing the programme Sabko Saakh-Sabka Vikas, organised at Minto Hall Bhopal, under the ‘Garib Kalyan Saptah’ being observed to mark PM Narendra Modi’s birthday. Chouhan deposited an amount of Rs 800 crore in the accounts of co-operative banks and societies, along with the disbursement of loans and credit cards to farmers, cattle rearers and fish farmers. He also provided Kisan Credit Cards to 63,000 beneficiaries for crop loans.

Nandkishore said that he received loan in hassle free manner.

Rakesh Tomar, a farmer of Bhind, holding 3 and a half bighas of land, told CM that he had also made arrangements for fertilisers and seeds by availing money at 24 percent interest annually in times of need. He does not lack hard work and along with cultivating Rabi and Kharif crops, he is also growing vegetables. Exorbitant interest caused a lot of trouble in times of need, now KCC has given relief.
