CENTRAL India Asian Karate Federation’s only Judge Hanshi Dr Zakir Khan Langa conducted a webinar on karate. Langa, who is also Treasurer, Karate Maharashtra Sports Association and Director, Physical Education, Anjuman College of Engineering & Technology held the webinar on Google Meet. The event was organised by Dr DG Sontakke, Head of the Department, Department of Physical Education, Vasantrao Naik Government Institute of Arts & Social Sciences and Dr Chhaya Patil, Director Physical Education.
 
Dr Sunitra Maharaj Patil, principal of the institute made introductory remarks. Langa informed the participants in details about the most popular form of martial art. He gave many important tips to girl for their safety. Langa also informed that karate will be part of the Olympic Games from Tokyo 2020 and that the sport has been included by School Games Federation of India (SGFI) since last 15 years. The speaker threw light on many aspect of the sport including, the points scoring system, the fouls, the duration of bouts for boys and girls.
 
He also spoke on team and indivdual events, the prohibited behaviour, warnings and penalties. He told the participants about the various national and internatioanl karate bodies and the types of tournaments conducted by those. Effort of the entire organising committee members resulted in successfully conducting the webinar. Dr Chaya Patil proposed a vote of thanks making special mention of Dr Syed Mohammed Ali, Principal, Anjuman College of Engineering & Technology.
