Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday celebrated 104th birth anniversary of Pt Deendayal Upadhyay, founder member and National President of Jansangh. Senior party leaders, office-bearers and members reached Deendayal Square and garlanded statue of Pt Deendayal.

Programmes were also organised at all 892 booths of the city. Speaking on the occasion, senior party leaders shed light on life of Pt Deendayal Upadhyay and defined in detail ‘Ekatma Manavwad’ (integrated humanism), the thought of Pt Upadhyay.

Leaders said Pt Deendayal, who was the man of simplicity gave a new belief to politics. He had a belief that any idea, without inclusive evaluation of people’s need could not be favourable for India’s progress. Therefore, Pt Deendayal gave the philosophy of ‘Ekatma Manavwad’ which is also the ideal of BJP’s principles. They called upon youth to come forward and extend support in nation building. Party leaders informed that tribute paying programmes were also organised at all 892 booths of the city. Party workers paid rich tributes to Pt Deendayal Upadhyay. Senior party leaders present in the programmes were State Vice President, Vinod Gotia, MLA Ashok Rohani, Dr Vinod Mishra and Sandeep Jain.
