Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the grand journey of development of Surkhi, Jaisinagar, Sagar and Bundelkhand has begun. There would be no shortcoming in the development of Surkhi Assembly constituency. He said that he would not let paucity of funds comes in the work of farmers and poor people. Chief Minister said that after the survey, relief amount would be given to farmers, who have suffered crop loss. Farmers should not worry for this.
 
He was addressing the bhoomipujan and public dedication programme of development works worth Rs 631 crores in Jaisinagar, Surkhi assembly constituency of district Sagar. MP Jyotiraditya Scindia presided over the programme. On this occaion, Public Works Minister Gopal Bhargava, Revenue and Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput, Urban Development Minister Bhupendra Singh Thakur, MLA Shailendra Jain, Mahesh Rai, Pradeep Laria and Mohan Patel were present. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that poor would live in kuchha houses. He said that wheat and rice would be given at the rate of one rupee per kg. Instructed Collector to add the names of those eligible beneficiaries.
 
He also announced the opening of a Government College, approval to the construction of Janpad Panchayat building in Jaisinagar and providing Nagar Panchayat status to Jaisinagar. He said that the wheel of development has started running from Jaisinagar of Surkhi assembly and this wheel would continue to run till Surkhi assembly is fully developed.
 
On this occasion, Chief Minister Chouhan distributed benefits to beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes. MP of Rajya Sabha Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the wheel of development will now move at a fast pace in Jaisinagar region. He congratulated the CM Chouhan for record wheat procurement in the State, under his leadership. Madhya Pradesh State has surpassed Punjab and secured the first rank in the whole country. A provision has been made to provide the first right to the youth of the State in government jobs.Samman Nidhi would be transferred to the accounts of farmers under the Mukhya Mantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana. Farmers would now receive a total amount of Rs 10,000 each after adding the amount of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana. Jaisinagar would be developed on the lines of Rehli, Khurai assembly constituencies.
