College students in MP to access degrees, marksheets through digi-locker soon

Students of universities and colleges in Madhya Pradesh will soon be accessing their degrees and mark sheets through digi-locker under Government’s Digital India programme. Access to degree certificate through digi-locker will enable students in keeping their certificates safe in digital mode and provide them access anytime and anywhere. Students do not have to maintain the documents.
Department of Higher Education (DHE) has started working towards digital format of documents where all universities will be releasing digital marksheets, degrees and other documents of students. Digital documents will be fully verified by officials concerned. Officials informed that to provide access of digi-locker, a mobile app or portal will be developed where the link will be shared for students. Concerned colleges will be required to confirm registration on portal for further access. Enrolled student will also be registered on portal with an e-mail application.
After being registered on portal, students and officials will be able to access digi-locker where all documents will be safe. Students will be asked to enter their enrollment number and other details before accessing the locker. Additional Commissioner, DHE Chandrashekhar Valimbe has called a meeting with registrars and other officials regarding this plan. He said, process of digi-locker will complete by next academic session. He said after accessing digi-locker, students need not carry their documents for any interview or any other purpose to other town. Entire documents will be made available in a verified way.
