Dhanashree finishes second in Fed Cup Yoga Championship

CITY’S international yoga player Dhanashree Lekurwale finished a creditable second in the recently held online 4th Federation Cup Yoga Sports Championship. The championship was organised by Yoga Federation of India. Dhanashree won the silver medal in the senior group while representing Maharashtra. She competed in Athletic event to emerge second.
 
Dhanashree, who has represented the country in last seven international yoga competitions, is likely to be picked this time also. She had performed well in the 44th Senior National Yoga Sports Championship held in November 2019. In the competition, Maharashtra finished third behind West Bengal who won the gold and Rajasthan who finished second. Ashokkumar Agrawal, President, Yoga Federation of India; Anandeshwar Pandey, Treasurer, Indian Olympic Association and other members of the federation watched the competition online.
 
Dhanashree gives the credit of her success to her parents, coaches, YK Group of Institute and Yoga Life Centre. Members of Kavi Kulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Yoga Federation of India and members of Maharashtra congratulated Dhanashree for her medal winning performance and wished her luck for future.
