Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court Ajay Kumar Mittal unveiled re-printed and updated edition of The High Court of Madhya Pradesh Rules, 2008 along with The High Court of Madhya Pradesh Digitisation of Records Rules, 2018 and The High Court of Madhya Pradesh Video Conferencing and Audio-Visual Electronic Linkage Rules, 2020 on Tuesday.
First time ‘The High Court of Madhya Pradesh Rules, 2008’ were framed and published in year 2008. Over a duration of more than 11 years, the Rules of 2008 underwent number of amendments by way of additions, alterations, deletions etc. Justice Sanjay Yadav, Chairman of High Court Rule Making Committee and Justice Sujoy Paul have put in tireless efforts along with other members of the Committee and made the Rules viable and befitting requirements to keep pace with time.
The Chief Justice appreciated the endeavors made by all concerned who were involved in bringing out update of re-printed book containing amendments till January 24, 2020, and also containing new rules pertaining to digitisation of records and video conferencing rules, which is need of the hour and specially in the period of pandemic. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Justice said that re-printed edition of the book will not only facilitate judges and advocates of Madhya Pradesh in discharging their duties well, but will also be helpful to the registry officers, employees and litigants public-at-large. Prominent amongst those present on the occasion were Justice Sanjay Yadav, Administrative, Justice Sujoy Paul, Registrar General and Registry Officers.
