Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertiliser DV Sadanand Gowda meets Chief Minister Chouhan

CHIEF Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had called upon Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilisers D V Sadanand Gowda at his office in New Delhi. He demanded an allocation of 22 lakh metric tonnes of urea for Rabi crop for the year 2020-21 in State .

He urged Gowda to increase allocation of urea from 18 lakh metric tonnes (1 lakh metric tonne reserve) to 22 lakh metric tonne in view of the interests of the farmers of the state. He said that with adequate rains in the Rabi year 2020-21, the area of wheat is expected to increase by about 10 lakh hectare compared to the previous Rabi. With this in view, 22 lakh metric tonne urea will be required for the Rabi year 2020-21 in the State. Gowda assured all possible assistance in this connection from the Centre.
