Taking investigation ahead in the case of lockdown violation by Queens Club and the firing in the high society club, Raipur Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two more accused, including a woman, and launched a search for absconders.
 
“In connection with the Queens Club incident, police have arrested two persons identified as Amit Dhawan (36), a resident of Naharpara under Ganj police station, and Rajveer Kaur (27), of Mahavir Nagar. Police have launched a search for other accused absconding,” said Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Lakhan Patle. Patle further informed that police have already arrested five persons including Queens Club’s director Harshit Singhania, manager Suraj Sharma, front manager Sanskar Pache, assistant manager Karan Sonwani and Hitesh Patel and sent them to judicial custody.
 
Probing the matter further, police on Tuesday arrested Amit and Rajveer and produced them in a local court from where they were sent to judicial custody. Police sources informed that a search has been launched to arrest the owner of a news portal Namit Jain, Champalal Jain, Neha Jain, Minali Singhania, Abhijeet Kaur Nirankari, Twinkal Singh and Minal. It may be recalled that late on September 27 night, Telibandha police raided Queens Club after learning about firing in the club.
 
Thereafter, police learnt about a birthday celebration at Queens Club during the lockdown following which Hitesh Patel along with firearm was arrested on charges of attempt to murder while four others including Queens Club’s Director Harshit Singhania under Sections 188, 269 and 270 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) registered with Telibandha police station. In the wake of the incident, the club has been sealed by the administration .
