THE Department of Physical Education and Sports of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University celebrated National Sports Day by organising an online talk show with international tennis umpire Supriya Chatterjee. Speaking during the programme, Chatterjee, who is the brand ambassador of All India Tennis Association (AITA) and has officiated in several Grand Slams over the years said that players should dream big and follow the path of hard work to fulfil their dreams.

“Players should aim high, should dream of achieving great heights. But for that they must work hard. Only then they can fulfil their dreams,” said Chatterjee. “While taking to any sport, a player should decide for how long he would devote his life to that sport. Elaborating further, Chatterjee also said that players should be aware of latest rules and regulations of the game. “Not all succeed as a player.

Those not achieving desired success should not leave the sports. They should look at other aspects also like taking up coaching, becoming a physiotherapist or dietician,” said Chatterjee.
