Thirty-six teams have been deployed to destroy the dengue larvae in different areas of the city
A team of Health Department and that of Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) conducted fogging in different areas to kill the dengue and malaria carrying mosquitoes.
 
On Friday, fogging was done in Arvind Vihar Colony and in Char Imli area of the State capital. Thirty-six teams have been deployed to destroy the dengue larvae in different areas of the city. So far, the team has surveyed and examined 1,357 houses. Larvae were found in 120 homes which were destroyed using Temephos.
 
Notably, Collector Avinash Lavania has directed the health department to ensure survey of malaria and dengue larvae in different areas of Bhopal, especially the slums. He had instructed to conduct rapid tests for malaria, blood slide collection and to spread awareness on prevention of coronavirus. District Malaria Officer, Akhilesh Dubey told The Hitavada that a campaign is being organised for the prevention of malaria.
 
He added that special care has to be paid while taking blood plaque of a malaria patient. Hand gloves and masks should be used while taking blood plaque and all the protocols issued in the wake of Covid-19 spread should be followed.
