Youth cured of Osteoid Os
A 25-years-old youth from Mathura got treatment for Osteoid Osteoma, an ailment which causes severe leg pain at Dr BR Ambedkar Memorial Hospital (BRAMH).
 
As per information Rahul Kumar of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, who was unwell for the past several months due to unbearable pain of his left leg. Frustrated after being treated in several well-known hospitals, Rahul eventually took help from the internet. Rahul Kumar wrote on Google search engine Treatment of Osteoid Osteoma with radiofrequency ablation. Google also immediately displayed news related to the procedure done at Ambedkar Hospital by radio frequency ablation method.
 
Under the guidance of Head of Department of Radiology Department Professor Dr S B S Netam, Intervention Radiologist Professor Dr Vivek Patre, the tumor was destroyed using a minimally invasive technique through a radio frequency ablation machine and the patient got relief from pain on the same day.
 
Intervention Radiologist Dr Vivek Pathe informed that it was a CT-guided procedure. By inserting the needle from the front just below the left lower limb below the knee, the tumor was destroyed through a process of radio frequency ablation. Head of Department of Orthopedics Professor Dr S Phulzele and Head of Department of Anesthesia Professor Dr K K Sahare received support. As per sources a few days ago, another similar case was treated in the radiology department of BRAMH.
 
The pain of Rahul’s left leg was completely cured. Very soon the patient is going to return to Mathura with his father
