Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there has been no loss of life due to severe floods in the State in the recent past, but the victims have suffered due to destruction of houses, belongings on a large scale. But people should not worry, we will rebuild their houses as they were. Also, the loss of their fields, goods will also be compensated to the maximum.
 
Each and every flood victim will smile again, this is Mama’s promise. Chief Minister Chouhan was taking a meeting on Sunday in connection with providing assistance to victims of floods in the State through RBC 6/4, MNREGA and other schemes. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Manoj Shrivastava, Principal Secretary Revenue Manish Rastogi, Commissioner Public Relations Sudam Khade were present in the meeting.
 
Rs One lakh 32 thousand will be given if house is destroyed Chief Minister Chouhan directed that those whose houses have been completely damaged due to floods should be provided with an amount of Rs one lakh under RBC 6/4, Rs 20,000 under MNREGA and Rs 12,000 for construction of toilets that is a total amount of Rs one lakh 32 thousand. Rs 70,000 to Rs one lakh will be provided for animal shed Chief Minister Chouhan informed that animal sheds have also been destroyed in the floods.
 
 
Those animal breeders whose sheds have been destroyed and who have 5 cattle will be given Rs 70,000 and those with 10 animals will be given Rs one lakh to build animal sheds. With this, they can get new animal sheds built. A compensation of Rs 5,000 should also be given to the flood-hit people for food grains, utensils etc. CM directs district administration to help in re-building houses Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that instructions should be issued to all Collectors that the district administration and the district panchayat should extend all possible assistance in building damaged houses of the flood victims.
 
They should take action to ensure that the material needed for construction of houses etc is made available at reasonable prices. Additional Chief Secretary Manoj Shrivastava informed that there is a provision under MNREGA to get work of up to Rs 3.80 lakh done for repairs in the flood-affected fields. Under this, works including Kapil Dhara well, fields-ponds, fencing, etc can be done. Chouhan instructed that maximum benefits should be provided to affected farmers under the provisions for field repairs. Additional employment of 50 days: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that in addition to 100 days of employment in areas with natural calamities, there is a provision of 50 days of additional employment under MNREGA scheme.
 
In this connection, permission should be obtained by writing to the Central Government at the earliest and additional 50 days of employment should be provided in the flood-affected areas. Public properties should be repaired: Chief Minister Chouhan directed that the public places in flood-affected areas should be improved under MNREGA. Under this, works like removal of silt and dirt, shantidham repair, school boundary wall repair, repair works in markets, repair of panchayat building, sports ground improvement etc should be done. Also, works to prevent erosion in flood affected areas, repair of water sources etc should also be done.
