Politics is on boil over vast damage to soyabean crop in wake of heavy rains in State. On Monday, Aam Admi Party (AAP) demonstrated and demanded that akin to AAP Delhi government, State Government should give compensation to soyabean farmers on an average of Rs 50,000 per hectare. AAP workers led by State President Pankaj Singh demonstrated in front of Collector’s office in State capital.
 
They said that soybean crops have turned yellow due as they have been affected by excess rains and by long dry spell. Already farmers were facing financial blues and now damage to soyabean crop has left them in troubled waters. What is a matter of concern is this that Government is showing lacklustre attitude. Trying to attract the attention of State Government towards farmers plight, Pankaj Singh demanded that compensation of Rs 50,000 per hectare should be given to affected farmers.
 
During demonstration, AAP workers and leaders were holding damaged soybean crop plants and were raising slogans in support of demand. Notably, excess rains have damaged soybean crop in various regions of State. Government has already assured farmers that they needs to be worried as their loss will be compensated soon.
