68,000 people benefitted under PM Awas Yojana: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan transferred Rs 102 crore, the fourth and final installment, in to the accounts of 68,000 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) (Rural) through single click on Tuesday. In the programme organised at Mantralaya, CM said that so far the construction of 17 lakh houses has been completed, out of 20.30 lakh houses in state under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). Target was 6 lakh houses in year 2019-20, out of which 3.45 lakh houses have been completed.
 
There is no need to be disappointed, who have not got houses. They will also be provided the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana through Awas Plus. CM said house warming programme is being organised on September 12, for the beneficiaries, whose house construction has been completed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi from New Delhi and he himself from Bhopal will attend the virtual programme. This programme will be celebrated as a festival in all gram panchayats.
 
He said that message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be broadcast on September 12 at 11 am. He appealed all gram panchayats to hear this address. He interacted with beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana through video conferencing. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains and officers were present.
