All districts should become malnutrition-free: Kiyawat

Divisional Commissioner Kavindra Kiyawat has given directives to all officers of Women and Child Development Department that as per wish of State Government, they should work with alacrity to make all districts free from malnutrition by March 31. He also expressed his displeasure over the unsatisfactory performance of Vidisha in this regard.
 
He instructed that to bring medium malnourished child into well nourished category and severely malnourished children into medium level malnourished category, medicines and nutritious food should be given officials before their eyes and then only entry of children should be done into portal.
 
He warned that strict action will be taken in cases of difference between data feed and medical test. He ordered that project officers will monitory aaganwadi centres and project work will be monitored by District Programme Officer.
Joint Director has been asked to submit report to him every week.
 
He directed to identify medium and severely malnourished children on the basis of cluster and their medical test should be done and subsequently medicines should be given to them. He also expressed displeasure on not having adequate number of children in NRC. He also gave other directives such as providing nutrition and medicines to pregnant women.
