Sagar Collector initiates steps to develop district as tourism spot

Sagar district has many important places which are important in view of tourism but in the absence of proper conservation and development of the area, local residents and tourists are unaware about its beauty. Hence now Collector Deepak Singh has started taking steps for developing tourism in the district. In this regard, a meeting of District Tourism Promotion Council was organised recently.
 
Collector Deepak Singh chaired this meeting which was attended by Municipal Commissioner R P Ahirwar, Additional Collector Akhilesh Jain, CEO, District Panchayat Ichchit Gadpale, DFO, Nauradehi Rakhi Nanda, Smart City CEO, officers of Archaeological, Tourism Department.
 
Collector Deepak Singh said, “In a bid to develop tourism in the district, all those departments of district administration which have connection with tourism, would work in co-ordination for developing tourism in district.”
Under Smart City Misson, for conserving heritage sites the of district, bawdi , wells, banks along rivers would be conserved and developed. Sameway, projects would be developed by Archaeology and Tourism Department. Under the supervision of Forest Department, an action plan should be made for developing Nauradehi sanctuary in view of tourism.
 
To promote tourism, members suggested for promotion of rope-way, boat club, paragliding, paramotoring, rock climbing and other adventure sports. Collector Singh informed that a ‘Coffee Table Book’ is being prepared for compiling details of all natural, historical, cultural, archaeological important spots of district, all cultural heritage, food culture, dance-music , local dialect of Sagar district. This book would make all locals, tourist aware about district and a committee has also been set up in this direction.
