Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna (IPS) chaired a meeting of gazetted officers and in-charges of Urja Desk and Women Help Desk at Police Control Room, on Saturday. Chairing the meeting, SP Siddharth Bahuguna directed officers for vigilant check on crime against women and taking prompt action in cases of crime against women. He said to women security key concept in the society and creating public awareness for respecting women.
 
He informed that Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh will inaugurate ‘Samman’ campaign for creating public awareness for respecting women, on January 11 at 1:30 pm through video-conferencing. SP Bahuguna also directed officers for giving pace in cases of abducting, missing persons and children by declaring cash rewards. He also said for ensuring arrest of accused in cases of SC/ST Act and providing relief amount to needy persons. Reviewing the CM Helpline complaints, officers were instructed for paying special attention on complaints received through CM Helpline and remaining polite while interacting with appellants. Police should remain sensitive in cases related to women, children, senior citizens and weaker section of society and taking prompt action on their complaints. During the meeting, Additional SP (South/Crime), Gopal Khandel and other gazetted officers were present.
