A team of Excise Department raided four kilns of country-made liquor and seized 80 litres illegal stock of country-made liquor and destroyed 3,600-kilograms raw materials at Chandmari area in Ghamapur. Excise Control Room, In-charge, GL Maravi informed that under the direction of Collector, Karmveer Sharma (IAS) excise team started a special campaign against illegal production and trade of liquor under the supervision of Assistant Excise Commissioner, SN Dubey.
 
During the campaign, Excise Department received information about illegal kilns of liquor. Acting promptly on the information, Excise team raided the identified spot and destroyed four kilns of country-made liquor in Chandmari area. Team raided the kiln of Narendra Khatri, son of Gopaldas Khatri and seized 60 litres liquor and destroyed 1600-kilograms raw materials, in the raid at kiln of Nisha Kuchbandhiya, wife of Ranjit Kuchbandhiya, team seized 15-litres liquor, at kiln of Ramkumar Raikwar, son of Annilal Raikwar seized 5-litres liquor and destroyed 800-kilogram raw material and seized 1200-kilogram raw material of unidentified person. Excise Department registered separate cases against the accused under Section 34(1)A(2) of Madhya Pradesh Excise Act 1995. Raid was conducted by team led by GL Maravi comprised of Assistant Excise Officer, GD Lahoria, SI, Ravishankar Yadav, Shweta Tiwari and constables.
