“There are no words to describe the painful tragedy of Bhandara hospital in which ten families have lost their beloved ones. We can only try to console the grieved families. I would speak to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in the regard. Health Minister Rajesh Tope has already ordered probe into the case and facts will come to fore in the enquiry. No guilty will be spared and at the same time necessary steps will be taken to avoid such incident at any hospital across the state,” said Praful Patel, MP and former Union Minister.

The senior NCP leader paid a visit to the hospital on Sunday, where ten infants lost their lives in the dreadful fire incident of early hours on Saturday. Patel also spoke to the medical officials and sought information about the fire and electrical audit of the hospital.

He directed them to take all adequate measures to stop repetition of such tragedies. Patel inspected the SNC unit where the infants were kept for treatment. Collector Sandeep Kadam, Former MP Madhukar Kukade, MLA Raju Karemore, Rajendra Jain, Deputy Health Director Dr Sanjay Jaiswal, SP Vasant Jadhav, CS Dr Pramod Khandate, DHO Dr Prashant Uikey, Dhananjay Dalal, Sarita Madankar, Hemant Maha-kalkar, Raju Salam, Ravindra Wankhede, Dayanand Nakhate, Ishwar Kalambe and others were present.
