The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) is toiling hard to develop Dumna Nature Reserve as the best tourist place of the region. The park is an eco-tourism site in Jabalpur. It is spread over an area of 1058 hectares and is a few kilometers away from the center of the city.

The visitors can explore the reserve by taking a walk around the place or using a cycle. Visitors can view many wild animals like Spotted Deers, Chitals, Wild Boar, Porcupine, Jackals, Monkey and many species of birds in the park, which is situated on the way to Dumna Airport. Gradually, the place is becoming favorite destination of city dwellers and outsiders.

People are gathering in large number at the reserve to spend their leisure amid natural beauty. Though the Municipal Corporation has proposed several projects for making Dumna Nature Reserve the best tourist place in the country, but yet no concrete efforts have been made in this direction. The project of developing Tiger Safari with due support of Forest department in the 360 hectare forest area of the Reserve is awaiting light of the day. Likewise, other projects to make the site a best tourist destination are lying pending.
