The State Government has appointed Subrat Sahoo, a 1992 batch Indian Administrative Service officer, as the In-charge Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh. ACS Subrat Sahoo, present posted as ACS to Chief Minister, Home and Jail, Electronics and IT, Commerce and Industries (Rail track projects) Housing and Environment and Water Resources department and Chairman Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board (CECB), has been appointed as the In Charge Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh, as the incumbent Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain is on leave due to health reasons. Sahoo will continue to officiate the routine works of the Chief Secretary along with his normal responsibilities, till the time CS Amitabh Jain joins duty.
